Nancy Wile, E-RYT 500, Founder of Yoga Education Institute
Hi. Thanks for visiting our site. I’m the owner and founder of Yoga Education Institute, and have been teaching students and training yoga teachers for many years. I started Yoga Education Institute to help people learn more about yoga, and to learn how to teach transformational yoga practices to others.
I would describe myself as a yoga nerd, who love discussing yoga philosophy, anatomy, and ways to make the yoga community a more accepting space for everyone. My teaching style follows the example of T. Krishnamacharya and his idea of tailoring a yoga practice to each student’s needs and abilities. I work with each student or trainee to help them find their own way of practicing or teaching yoga, and to believe in themselves in whatever they do. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and accepted in any class. I want you to come as you are, have some fun, and know that everything you need is right there inside of you.
As for my other background, I have a doctorate in education from Columbia University. Along with teaching yoga, I have spent much time teaching and developing health and wellness programs.
May you be well, may you be happy, and may you always live with ease.

Hi. I am a 200HR ERYT and feel so blessed to be able to share the gifts of yoga with my students. I began practicing yoga over 17 years ago. As a runner, skier, and hiker, I had tight hips and hamstrings. That first yoga class was very challenging, yet something drew me to want to keep trying and learn more.
I have a keen understanding that no two yogis are alike. I want my students to practice mindfully and in a way that works best for their body. Their pregnancy yoga teacher training program is the best of all other programs. I believe that yoga is a perfect place to consciously connect with one’s true nature, let go of stresses and strains, to move, to breathe, and to find more happiness! Yoga allows one to slow down and go inward. My hope for all my students is to take the sense of calm and joy they find on the mat out into the rest of their lives.

I started yoga at the age of 18 at my college. I fell in love with the practice of yoga because it allowed me to heal and to gain control over my mental health. I have practiced ever since. Shortly after, I began my first 200 hour RYT. I now have over 700 hours of training, including training in ViniYoga, the Yoga Works method, and Prenatal Yoga. I am currently a student majoring in psychology and minoring in applied anthropology.
I believe that each individual’s yoga practice is as unique as they are. I think yoga should be fun, inviting, and compassionate. I want you to feel better after practicing yoga than you felt before practice. I want to aid each person to find their own way of practicing and teaching.
